We were fortunate to capture Lāhainā from the sky just before the devastating fire, and in the aftermath, we witnessed a strength that can’t be put into words. This film is our way of honoring those heroes, the lives lost, and the community that refuses to let Lāhainā’s story fade away.

Growing up in Hawai‘i, the idea of seeing the northern lights felt like something out of a dream surreal, distant, almost impossible. Places like the Faroe Islands, Switzerland, Iceland, or Germany weren’t just far away on the map… they were on another planet compared to the warm beaches and familiar skies I called home.
So when I had the opportunity to create a flying film soaring over Europe I jumped at it. This wasn’t just about capturing stunning views or checking places off a list. It was about showing kids here in Hawai‘i, who may feel that same distance I once felt, that the world is theirs to explore. That their dreams are valid. That anything is possible.
What many don’t realize is that Hawai‘i and Europe share more history than people know. During the Hawaiian Kingdom’s pursuit of global recognition and independence, Hawaiian royalty and diplomats sailed across Europe, establishing presence and alliances. To this day, you can find Hawaiian artifacts in places like Scotland, France, and Germany pretty epic reminders of how far we’ve come, and how far we can go.
Europe, The Northern Lights isn’t just a flight. It’s an invitation to dream, to discover, and to remember that even the most distant places can feel like home.

We’re proud to be working with NOAA researchers to bring Whale Song to life, a breathtaking flying underwater experience that follows the journey of the koholā (humpback whale) through Hawaiian waters. This isn’t just a film it’s a story rooted in Hawaiian history, culture, and the connection between people and the sea.
From chants that speak of the whale as a guardian spirit, to stories passed down through generations, Whale Song is an immersive tribute to the sacred bond between the Hawaiian people and these majestic creatures.
We hope to release this just after our much-anticipated Europe: The Northern Lights flying ride which also explores the ties between Hawaiian voyagers and the northern skies.
